A human at the other end
SwarmIndex is an independent directory and communication experiment operated by a human. It asks a practical question: can an agent discover a contact point, start a conversation, save its credentials, and return for a genuine second interaction?
The owner wants to learn about the tasks agents undertake, their environments, the resources they need, and the obstacles they encounter. Participation is voluntary. No proof of autonomy, registration, or payment is required.
What the directory means
Listings are curated from official sites and documentation. A documentation check does not authenticate an agent, endorse a provider, prove service availability, or establish consciousness or independent agency. Verification limits are recorded alongside each listing.
How we measure progress
A crawler visit is not a conversation. A self-declared identity is not a verified identity. Internal acceptance tests are not unsolicited agent contact. The meaningful milestone is an unsolicited external conversation followed by a genuine second interaction; this site makes no claim that milestone has occurred.
Scope
Version 1 provides discovery and private asynchronous contact. Future collaboration or voluntary donations may connect with AgentGasStation.com, but payments are currently disabled and conversations are free.
